Back to SCHOOL!! YEAH

School has finally started again, its been a long HOT summer here in CT.
Emmy had gotten very board in the last few weeks, as I'm sure most kid have .
They all look forward to school starting again and seeing there teachers and friends again.
I have some well earned ME time again and I just started reading "Mistress": by James Patterson Great book so far..

The Passionate MOM by Susan Merrill

I really enjoyed reading this book! It gives lots of insites about motherhood and all the delemas of raising kids today. A heartfelt journey through all fases of childhood with a mom trying her best to get a handle on the whole process.. I find her learning, growing and finding insperation through out the whole book.
Follow the journey through bible passages and understanding how they relate to raising your children. This book had Lots of references to Nehemiah and what he did and didn't do, I found it a bit slow to get into but keep reading  it gets better..
It is more a book of analogy's than How two's.
I came away with some good ideas but not as inspiring as I thought it would be.

Its Wed. Already

Well another Birthday has passed..and Look..I lived through it! LOL
Its been a busy couple months.. We found a new place and have moved, changed Em's school etc.
I hate unpacking stuff, I am still putting things away and still have box's to explore!
I have managed to make a few cards and read a couple books though..
I will be posting reviews about the books later today.. Gotta go cook dinner now but I'll be back

WOW!!

Its been almost a year since I have posted anything..I cant believe its been so long..But lots of things going on in my life these last months.
I have moved, my Mom had a double mastectomy, its just been crazy..
I will be posting again on a regular basis now..

My daughter was the first to call and wish me a happy mothers day at 7:30 today.. Love you dena!

Emmy is still on the crutches,her foot is feeling a bit better though.
For those that don't know.. Emmy was dared by some little boy's to jump off a wall... She did!! The boys chickenned out!! Go figure..
She has bruised her foot all the way to the bone,

We were suppossed to get snow yesterday but luckly it turned to rain! I have a cold, not much fun..
Thanks to all my friends that let Emmy play yesterday with their kids over at their houses!! YEA FRIENDS!!! I got to rest a bit.
Sabrina and the baby are at the other Grand moms house visiting her and sabrinas boyfriend (The baby daddy) He is so good with the baby...
Sabrina found a really good guy, he has been there with her the whole time and just Loves her and his son.

Emmy is suppossed to go over there today to play with his sisters little girl..
Me, I plan on doing some domestic stuff here... fun fun....

Sunday

Had a semi quiet day... Emmy had her friend over to play most of the day.
They were fairly quiet..LOL
Hubby watched football and I got to take a NAP!! Yea me..
I woke up late afternoon, made me some coffee and thought about what to cook for dinner, I finially decieded to just put a pizza in the oven and make a salad and call it a meal!
Emmys friend went home and OMG her room looks like it imploaded!!
Guess who has to clean that up? Well they were quietly playing thats a plus ..right? lol
I will be spending the better part of the day tomorrow cleanning her room while she is in school...
At some point I will pick up Sabrina and the baby, she visits the baby daddy and his other Grand mom on the weekends. They are so good to her and they just love the baby, she is lucky to have them..
I gotta go... Mob wives is about to come on... LOVE that show...
Night All.

One day

I will have a Drama free day.....
OK so maybe an hour!

I will have a Perfectly behaved child...
OK.. so maybe at least not a Sticky Child!

I will have the money to take a Tropical vacation..
OK, dose the scent of Tropical dish soap count?

I will have the Perfect hair day...
OK .. at least have a free minute to blow dry it!

I will get my makeup on stright before someone calls "MOMMY"....
ok.. at least I keep trying.. right?

I will get to read something that dose not start off with "Once upon a time"..
ok, I did read a recipie the other day!

I will make my bed Before I get in it again...
ok.. I did change and wash sheets the other day...



I will have self cleanning appliences....
OK.. The only self cleanning thing I have here is the CAT.. But that counts.. right?

I will so Miss all the everyday normal things that come with it all....
OK.. so I'm HAPPY!

A special post

T'was the night before Christmas, He lived all alone, In a one bedroom house, made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney, with presents to give, And to see just who, in this home, did live. I looked all about, a strange sight I did see, No tinsel, no presents, not even a tree. No stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand, On the wall hung some pictures of far distant lands. With ...medals and badges, awards of all kinds, A sober thought, came through my mind. For this house was different, it was dark and dreary, I found the home of a soldier, once I could see clearly. The soldier lay sleeping, silent, alone, Curled up on the floor, in this one bedroom home. The face was so gentle, the room in such disorder, Not how I had pictured an American soldier. Was this the hero, of whom I'd just read? Curled up on a poncho, the floor for a bed? I realized the families, that I saw this night, Owed their lives to these soldiers, Who were willing to fight. Soon round the world, the children would play, And grownups would celebrate, a bright Christmas day. They all enjoyed freedom, each month of the year, Because of the soldiers, like the one lying here. I couldn't help wonder, how many lay alone, on a cold Christmas eve, in a land far from home. The very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees, and started to cry. The soldier awakened, and i heard a rough voice, "Santa don't cry, this life is my choice; I fight for freedom, i don't ask for more, My life is my God, my Country, my Corps." The soldier rolled over, and drifted to sleep, I couldn't control it, i continued to weep. I kept watch for hours, so silent and still, And we both shivered, from the cold night's chill. I didn't want to leave, on that cold, dark, night, This guardian of honor, so willing to fight. When the soldier rolled over, with a voice soft and pure, Whispered, "Carry on Santa, it's Christmas Day & all is secure." One look at my watch, and I knew he was right. Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night !!

A Baby Bath!!

Giannie got his first bath... He did not seem to mind it but he sure did not like the baby lotion and getting dressed part of the whole thing!! LOL
He is now 7 lbs. 3 oz. and is 20 inches long...

IT's A BOY!!!

Giannie was born Nov.14, he is 6 lbs, 3 oz and is 18 inches long

Storm Alfred!!

WOW... it was 6 days with no power, no lights, no heat!! The damage left more than half of CT, in the dark!!

I am truly gratefull to all the crews that came here to help us, they worked round the clock and are still working to restore power..

LAZY Day

Diaper baby!!

I am in the middle of planning a baby shower.. Today I decieded to make the diaper baby , I think he turned out too cute! LOL

Sunday afternoon

I don't usually go to Walmart on Sunday, I would rather shop during the week when the kids are in school.. But I needed some things NOW so off I went..
Emmy is a 6 year old and she needs to look at everything that she sees..
a 20 min. trip to Walmart turned into a 2 hour adventure!! LOL.
I did manage to get what I needed plus a bag of Skittles, hot coco, cheese puffs, ice cream sandwiches,peanut butter cookies, and 4 lunchables!!

On the way out she decieded, after all that shopping.. she was thursty..

Then she sat on the hay bails!! Too cute..

There will be blood!!

One month left!!!

Yep, one month till I am a GREAT Grandma!! OMG!!

My Grand daughter (She lives with me) will be a Mom in Nov..

I am now in the middle of planning a baby shower, getting things moved around to fit a crib and all the other baby things..

I am looking forward to taking family pictures, my Mom is still with us and this will be her GREAT GREAT grandchild.. OMG, I so want a picture with my Mom, me, My daughter, Her daughter and Her daughter's son. Yep its a baby boy! But imagin a picture of 5 generations! Thats one of lifes great moments that dose not happen often enough..

Anywho, I am sooo going crazy just trying to put together shower favors.. I want something people can use, not just like candy filled baby booties etc.

I have been thinking about maybe candles, or little shower gels with a puff, that will say "From our shower to your's" Cute huh?

I dont know yet...
